Altars Profans - MAGDALENA GARZON | 4 to 17th September
Residency at EiMa with the support of Teatre Principal de Palma.
Synopsis

The project "Altars Profans" takes shape and is based on some of the discursive parameters of the photographer Toni Catany. In this way, the piece, in the manner of a posthumous constellation, of a heartfelt homage, makes the work and the figure of the internationally renowned artist stand out and takes as a poetic garment the very title of the exhibition, "Altars Profans", which the Toni Catany Foundation chose to show part of his photographic legacy, precisely that which has to do with the genre of still lifes, still lifes, and the composition of objects."Altars Profans", investigates the creation of a dance piece with a multiplicity of layers that allude to a constellation of traces of references.

We propose the residency at Eima as the first phase of the creative work, in this way, we will focus on the translation of the photographic elements (arrangement and quality of the objects, lighting, framing...) into the body. In the investigation of the language of movement that justifies and adjusts to the poetic and aesthetic commitment of the work. The research phase in creative methodologies is vital to continue developing our task as creators.
